Maalaea Village is only 7-8 minutes to the west. This quaint harbor village is home to the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, along with roughly two dozen shops and some of Maui's finest restaurants. You'll find many exciting ocean activities departing from the Maalaea Village harbor, including snorkeling trips, scuba diving, sunset and dinner cruises, sport fishing, and whale watching (Dec-May). Bustling Kihei town is just to the south. Shops, restaurants, and a few larger supermarkets (Safeway, Star Market and Foodland) are only five minutes away.
